It's a lazy Sunday, and all I've done so far is watch 5 recorded episode of CBS Sunday Morning. I had a caprese salad for lunch because the tomato's are in full ripeness! Nothing like fresh home grown tomatos! We have tons of basil now too. Plus I'm really into those little soft mozzarella balls in olive oil, as well as a balsamic vinegar. I added avocado too, so all is right with the world!
I'm in full "Camp" mode! Not that I'm going camping, although, there is a slight chance of getting to Yosemite later this month with my brother & his family. Funny that it happens every year, where I get it in my head about camping, and I'm not happy until I go. I'm currently shopping for tents since we need a new one. I think tonight we might go check them out and try to find the right one for us.
For my family, the ultimate camping has always been Yosemite. We grew up there and and it was like our second home. I bought this new Sunset magazing hoping to find other places to camp that are a little closer than Yosemite. Hopefully there will some weekend camping going on a couple times this year.
THINGS OF BEAUTY:
There are a couple of things that I got from my Mom's house, (although we have yet to face that giant beast of a house and go through it). I'd like you to see them.
These were my Grandmother's, and although they are probably from the 50's, I adore them. They are from Germany, and are so delicate. Candle holders, you know?
Another thing I love is this decanter. It was also my Grandmother's. As a kid of the 60's and 70's, I used to sit and look into it looking for Jeannie.
It's heavy crystal, and I think it's so beautiful!
I do hope all is going well for you on
this beautiful Sunday.
Just want to say how happy I am that you are still blogging. I look forward to your posts. And I love your Mom's candlesticks!
