Since everyone, I hope everyone, is trying to recycle these days, here is a fun craft to make with empty water bottles, you know the plastic kind. Strip the label, cit it in half and cut the top half (where the mouth part is) into flower shapes. Lay them face down and spray with spray paint. After they dry, you wrap a sturdy wire on the back, and there you are. You ca also make a long garland by cutting a long wire and every 6" wrap the wire around another flower. How great would all white ones be for a wedding? Or all pink for a baby shower? It's endless what you could do! I think these are so great. Make a BIG colorful bouquet for a friend.
Oy...am I trying be like Martha here or what? I'm plotzing.
Anyway, I'm going to be trying to cook in this new Tagine I just bought. I've looked at them, and been fascinated by them for years now, so I finally got one. Now all I have to do is read about seasoning the pot, get used to Middle Eastern meats such as Lamb (poor Mary!) and then dive in. I will keep you posted and show pictures when I finally use it.
You have to admit it....you are intrigued too, aren't you?
TODAY'S THING OF BEAUTY:
Helen is my friend Cathy's Grandmother. Cathy was great and let me scan this photo, which I thought I'd share. I have used her in artwork before.
Next post, the back yard. Be Happy.

Wow. Those flowers just inspire me. Seriously. They can be used... in my HAIR!!
back to your last post title: I wondered all night why the oscar ads are not as important as the superbowl ads ? HUH?
Did you have a lamb named Mary? Anyway, I love me some lamb, but I don't get it much because of the fact that: it's LAMB! So.
I usually have little piggies, instead.

Hi! I just wanted to say that I have zipped through all of your blog pages back to where you started a few weeks ago and you are delightful! I have had a wonderful morning looking at all of your things of beauty and glimpses at what lovely funky things you surround yourself with. I will be a regular visitor. I have been a fan of Zinnia's since I discovered it about a year ago and check in every now and then. I ended up here on your blog because of the decoupage table you created and had to know more. I would love to take the class but will be out of town on the 2nd - I live in Eagle Rock so maybe there will be another chance. It's nice to meet you and your blog! I hope you enjoy blogging - it has brought me friends and opportunities all over the world (just got asked to do the front and back covers of a London literary magazine because of my blog) so enjoy this new endeavor and all of the surprises and treasures it may bring you!

Ahhh-thanks for sharing on the bottles, too!! FAB! I saw something like that @ Anthropologie last week and was wondering how they did it. Too cool for words, Paul.

Love the ones you made! And yes, I had the same thought about using them in a wedding. They'd be absolutely perfect for that.

Some times things created artificially appeal more than the Natural ones. Your Floral designs are just like that, Colors full of variety and finishing at its extreme.
