Joe is a gardener. He's amazing with dirt, vegetables, and flowers. I, on the other hand, appreciate what he does and have to remember to go out into the garden and enjoy his work. Yesterday we had a salad for lunch in the garden, with lettuce that Joe grew, the fountain running and two dogs at our feet.
Today we had an art fair at the McGroarty Art Center, and we did very well. We had a beautiful sunny day, hung out with old friends and made some new ones.
Yesterday we decided to make paper and felt flowers, and I wanted you to see how nice they turned out.
So here's how you make them: Take a medium gage wire, not too big, and cut a lenghth (double) as long as you want the stem to be. Put a button (in & out) of the holes and slide the button to the end. Put the ends of the wire into a dremel tool, and tighten. VERY CAREFULLY turn the tool on slowly, and the wire will twist and tighten up. Release from the dremel tool. Then cut a flower out of paper, add some glue to the back of the button, and slide the flower to the back of the button that has glue. Very easy!
You can also make felt flowers! A combination of the two are always nice.
It's a bright sunshiny day!
I believe in the power of thought. I always have. Yesterday I tell Joe, "Get a number in your head.....the amount of money we want to make at the art fair". After a few seconds I say, "I have $800.00 in my head". Joe says, "THAT'S the same number I came up with!" So together we put it out there and asked the Universe to help.
Do you know that today we made $813.00!
I'm just saying!
(thank you Universe!)
