Some of you might not know that for gays, Halloween is a high holy day. There is just something about this holiday that really makes me a happy camper. Of course, I love all the holidays, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Every year I get my Martha Stewart Living issues, sit and devour them cover to cover. Decorating, recipes, and crafty ideas.
Here is what we did for decorating this year.

Here I've mixed it up. Usually I do a whole section of pumpkins, one of black cats, one of devils, and the ghosts usually go on the Day of the Dead tree, which I will show you on another post. I just picked SOME of my favorite pieces and mixed it up.
Wall of "changing portraits". These are lenticular pictures that change from a regular picture, into something gruesome. Check out the link below to see these.
Joe did this great garland over the arch. Pumpkins, purple lights and beaded garland.
We decided to put up less this year because it's just so much work. I notice that every year I put up a little less than the year before. My Mother and sister, Cayla are coming to visit this month, and I thought the house should look nice for Halloween. The outside of then house will have a Pirate theme. Treasure chest, loot, skeletons, barrels, candles, a Pirate flag...the whole bit! This also means that we should be dressing up as Pirates! Oy!

Well, That's all for today.

What time's the best time to come by for candy and a tour? (LOL) ;)

What a great place to live this time of the year. I love Halloween and just find myself in stores walking the aisles staring. Fun stuff!

So beautiful! Really. Just festive and colorful, happy. Love it. I know what you mean about putting up fewer things every year. It really can be quite a lot of work!
